PRESS RELEASE – PRESS RELEASE – PRESS RELEASE

Dare the Boss of Extreme!

The CEO of the Extreme Group and founder of the Extreme Sports Channel, Al Gosling, has decided to prove that his company lives up to their name by letting the online community of his new website, ExBrag, take control, choose his fate, and be dared by the most extreme and crazy fools out there. The ‘Group Daddy’ and bona-fide dare-devil has put himself up for the challenge of his lifetime. Users have the chance to delve into their bizarre and obscure imaginations and ‘Dare the Boss of Extreme’. They will have 2 weeks to get their wacky and potentially dangerous ideas in with a further online poll before the final crunch day on 1st April. The countdown is on!! To ‘Dare the Boss of Extreme’ visit: http://www.exbrag.com/bet/9923-you-cant-dare

The Extreme Group, and the team behind Bragster, the online bragging and daring website, has joined forces to create ExBrag, the new ‘extreme’ focused web community. This all new pumped up site has just launched. Think of it as Jackass meets Facebook but better, a whole lot better.

ExBrag is a place to put your money where you mouth is, or in ExBrag’s case, your ‘Brag Bucks’. Dare your friends and be dared by others. It’s a web community of profiled users who all dare and bet each other to do crazy things and then post the evidence that their ‘quest’ has been achieved. If you carry out your ‘dare’ you receive Brag Bucks and online star status, why not brag about it! No money changes hand, just the self assurance that you are indeed the don. Mad dares and bets have included swimming in Trafalgar Square fountain, opening a joint bank account dressed as Gorillas, daring your mum to join, and betting that you will go to university in your underwear.

There is the chance to win free clothing and gear, enter competitions and meet a whole new group of people prepared to take your dare on. As the hunger for new, targeted social forums escalates, ExBrag answers the call. It combines both the community feel of a social network and the content appeal of YouTube. Dialogues and stories develop into a backdrop for each person and their dare. You can interact, challenge them, or join them and compete for Brag Bucks.

The partnership between The Extreme Group and Bragster has been in negotiations over the past few months after a highly successful first year for the guys at Bragster. It was set up by Wim Vernaeve and Bertrand Bodson in 2006 and was launched in January 2007. Bragster wants to increase their already rapidly expanding fan base by tapping into the hugely popular extreme sports arena.

At the same time the Extreme Group (www.extrememediagroup.com) have been rolling out their business expansion which includes Extreme Hotels, EX Freshies (cafes), EX Rawstate Clothing, EX Hardware, EX Watches and EX Footwear among others. ExBrag is their new exciting venture which taps into Extreme’s core demographic.

Al Gosling, CEO of the Extreme Group, says of the new partnership: ‘Following on from the phenomenon of the social networks and YouTube, we have been able to harness a new way of reaching our target market using our sense of style and humour. Bragster has had amazing success in its first year and the synergy between our 2 companies is a natural progression for Extreme.’

Bertrand Bodson from Bragster adds ‘We are pleased to partner with Extreme. The power of the brands they have built over the past ten years, their unique marketing capabilities, and as importantly, their daring audience, all perfectly match with our online daredevil platform. Can you imagine being dared to do your first skydiving jump or backflip with all your friends betting you will chicken? Extreme naturally rhymes with friends daring each other, sharing video evidences and earning bragging rights.’
