The only thing we ask is if you don’t have anywhere near what we are looking for in a specific job, please don’t just randomly send in a CV. Have a think about which company and area you want to work for and let us know what skills you have that will make you a good fit.

INTERNS AND WORK EXPERIENCE AT EXTREME

Because we continue to receive so many CVs and requests for work experience and the fact that work experience people now play a significant role at Extreme, we have decided to design a full-time and part-time intern programme for college and graduate students who are interested in working in any of the Extreme Group companies. While you are with us we will try to ensure you get the opportunity to experience as many different aspects of the company as possible.

Extreme:
The Extreme Group (http://www.extrememediagroup.com), founders of the Extreme Sports Channel (a highly successful pan-European broadcast channel), employs over 250 people and has interests across the media, telecoms and retail sectors. It owns Extreme Entertainment (a sports rights acquisition/TV programme distribution business), Extreme Retail (online and high street shop retailing), Extreme Mobile (our youth focused MVNO Mobile business), Ex-Gear (our clothing label) Ex Parks (sport theme parks) and Extreme Drinks.

EXTREME CRED
is our new pre-pay and credit card biz.

PRE-PAY Extreme Cred
Our plan is to offer the best pre-pay cards and service out there. Extreme Cred cards are bought online, are available with Maestro and works like a pre-pay Mobile phone top-up card but you use it like a credit card. It’s the awesome alternative to carrying cash, looks great in your wallet and gives you the power to keep your money safe. As it’s not a credit card you don’t have to be over 18 or have a bank account to get one, so literally anyone can get one! You get all the benefits of a normal credit card, like withdrawing your cash at any cash machine, buying stuff online, and ordering your concerts tickets over the phone etc. Our Extreme Cred card can be topped up online, at any Post Office, or at any shop…where you see the yellow PayPoint sign.

POST-PAY / CREDIT CARD
We are now close to signing a number of deals with partners in a number of countries across Europe to launch a full-on credit card focused on the 18 – 34 year old sector.

The Role:
We need the Mr. or Mrs. “Know It All” of the card / payment industry to run the biz, manage the relationship with all our partners, create plastic fantastic marketing campaigns and have a brutal understanding of the target audience which stretches beyond watching Dick and Dom “In da bungalow”…

BUSINESS MANAGER

RetailCorp, a part of the Dubai World Group, has formed a joint venture with “Extreme” and will be launching the most exciting new concept in food and beverage offerings in the region today.

The “Extreme” brand is unconstrained by convention and offers people something fresh and innovative having the self-belief to make ideas happen. The F & B concept is a new ground breaking café that has been developed with a view to delivering a healthier option across a new and innovative menu.

BUSINESS MANAGER

The position of Business Manager will play a hands on operational role with full accountability to deliver the “Extreme” brand from concept to launch to expansion. The main responsibilities will include

  • Implementing and delivering on a business plan

  • Determining budgets and setting targets

  • Locating and securing new sites

  • Motivating, training and incentivising staff

  • Ensuring all operational standards are met and maintained

  • Meeting all financial parameters and operating profits

  • Marketing of the concept

The ideal candidate will have a progressive 5-10 year management career path in restaurant operations gained within a leading food and beverage concept. In addition, you should currently be at a senior level where you are managing multiple restaurants and have had experience launching a flagship outlet. You will be highly effective in displaying skills in leadership, decision making and management of information, people development and communication. A keen interest and ability to relate to the “Extreme” image of sports and activities that pushes you to the limit.

EXTREME HOTELS – Non Executive Director

Role:
We are looking for a non executive director to work with Al Gosling (CEO) and Alec Cameron (COO) on our new concept – Ex Hotels.

You will assist Al and Alec with the business plan, provide strategic advice, protect our interests, avoid unnecessary risks and explore worldwide opportunities.

Mission:
Our mission is to revolutionize what’s on offer in the hotel sector today. We are aiming to create the world’s leading youth hotel brand by making our guests feel like rock stars. Extreme Hotels will offer a high value, low cost, entertaining, and active cutting edge hotel proposition located in some of the world's finest extreme sports and urban destinations around the world.

Targeted at our customer base, we will deliver high quality innovative design, cutting edge technology, take the social bar concept to the next level and, of course, provide great extreme sports facilities, adventure packages & equipment to all our guests at great prices. We want guests to feel the mood and atmosphere of the sports and the life-style as soon as they walk through the door….the environment will be striking, individual, and social to reflect the guests that we will have….it will be fun and as unique as possible.

The Extreme Hotels brand will reflect the core beliefs of Extreme: innovation, passion, freedom, high functionality, and affordability but with high quality. Locations
will be focused around three main environments. We will deliver in surf and snow based Extreme sports locations, cities where extreme sports are part of the culture such as Cape Town, Rio and Sydney, and then just full on Urban. Above all we believe that affordable doesn't have to be boring as brands like Motorola, Mini Cooper and TopShop have proven so brilliantly. We will revolutionize what’s on offer, democratize design, provide guests with an environment that is extraordinarily social, a real laugh and hopefully strike a chord with youth travellers who crave style, fun and 'the extreme' on the road.

MD – EX CAFES

Extreme:

The biz:
We have signed a deal with Retail Corp to roll out 5 EX branded Restaurants all between 40 and 60,000 sq ft (these will be massive restaurants) and we are about to appoint a design company to create the full plans and vision with us. We are also talking to the Restaurant Group (they own and run over 200 restaurants in the UK) about a franchise deal and rolling out the concept in the UK.
The Role:
There’s nothing general about this management role because this new biz is like nothing you’ve seen before. Recall that feeling when you’ve had the most awesome day on the slopes : sense the unique comfort of releasing your toes from the hardware, breathe in the crisper than crisp freezing clear air, and allow the hunger and thirst to register in your brain space. Where can you go to eat comforting, mouth-zinging, nutritious, juicy food? Who can serve you the most berry-filled smoothie with a hit of vodka if you need a boost? Ex Cafes aims to achieve a relaxed base for cooler than the average joe’s. Satisfying the taste-buds of all those who cruise through the doors, offering them an irresistible menu of delicious yummies, fab service, top audio/visual equipment and a large chunk of chillin’ out.

PA TO CEO / OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR SMT
SMT Group, the newly formed holding company from the merger between Extreme Entertainment and Media Action Sports, is seeking a PA / Office Administrator fluent in both English and Spanish to assist the CEO.


JOB DESCRIPTION

To support the CEO.

You will also be required to provide administration support and diary assistance to the executive team as needed. Duties include general office administration, diary management, travel arrangement and secretarial support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To maintain and update the CEO's diary

  • Provide administration support for the CEO and the executive team.

  • General office administration - liaising and updating the CEO and executive team on a regular basis.

  • Be responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the office.

  • Dealing with internal and external telephone calls.

  • Open and screen post, arrange conference calls and booking meeting rooms/refreshments.

  • To manage expenses.

  • To maintain files updated at all times.

  • Co-ordination of travel arrangements.

  • Assist with current research projects and preparation of other documents such as press releases as needed.

  • Produce reports and PowerPoint presentations when required.

  • Support in generating reports for monthly business reviews.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Previous experience in Sports Marketing and / or TV Industry.

  • Ability to multi- task and work well under pressure.

  • Professional manner on the phone and a positive 'can do' attitude.

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office package i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint .

  • Ability to prioritise and re-evaluate workload to ensure work is completed effectively and in a timely manner.

  • Experience writing press releases is a plus.
