EXTREME SPORTS CHANNEL / WWW.EXTREME.COM to attend NATPE 2000 Stand 1511-46 British Pavilion

The EXTREME SPORTS CHANNEL and www.extreme.com will be attending the forthcoming NATPE 2000 in New Orleans on 24th ñ 27th January 2000 Stand No.1511-46 in the British Pavilion.

The world's first Extreme Sports Channel, launched May 1st 1999, best described as a cross between MTV and a sports channel, is a joint venture between Extreme International and UPC (Europe's largest cable operator).

The EXTREME SPORTS CHANNEL is the first sports channel in the world to have cleared its programming and live sports event rights for internet broadcast and is developing this via www.extreme.com with some of the world's leading Internet Video Producers and Web Streaming Platforms.

www.extreme.com is the URL owned by the Extreme Sports Channel, a pan-European 24 hour sports channel with a growing subscriber base of 5 million which launched on May 1st 1999. www.extreme.com will become the focal point for people looking for anything to do with extreme sports, and will operate as follows: branded with the "EX Extreme Sports Channel" logo, it will act as the web-site for the channel, enhancing the viewer experience with information (statistics, profiles, locations, schedules etc) relating to the programmes broadcast on the channel;
it will stream video content direct to viewers' computers with live events around the world and have a clip and programme video on demand service available. The Extreme Sports Channel's content is also cleared for web-streaming on a 24 hour "live" basis, enabling us to use the internet as an alternative means of delivery for the normal broadcast channel to the viewer; acting as a portal and point of entry for enthusiasts seeking extreme sports web experiences and information;
