Extreme Group makes its move into the US with EX TV on Fox Sport Net

(LAGUNA BEACH, CALIF. March 5, 2002) Extreme Group, the world's leading media company in the extreme sports sector and parent company of the Extreme Sports Channel, has landed EX TV on Fox Sports Net in the U.S. The hour-long, twice-weekly offering introduces a sampling of the world's leading action sports programming to American Gen X and Gen Y viewers. EX TV launches March 18th at 4 p.m. on Fox Sports Net's regional sports channels that reach more than 78 million US homes. EX TV airs each Monday and Wednesday at 4 p.m. as part of FSN's "Rush Hour," the network's daily weekday extreme programming block. EX TV will be repeated after the initial airing at 2 a.m.

"This strategic move will act as a perfect launch pad for the EX brand into the USA and is a natural expansion for the Extreme Group which was founded six years ago. In May 1999, we launched the Extreme Sports Channel in Europe, which is now broadcasting in seven languages across 48 countries," stated Al Gosling, Founder and CEO of Extreme Group.

"We owe our success to the excellent producers who we work with, our dedicated team, and our focus on the area we live and breathe ? action sports. We are confident that we will thoroughly engage and entertain viewers in the US with our fresh approach to extreme sports programming and believe that they will appreciate the genuine nature of where we are coming from. There has been a lot of talk about our US plans, may be too much talk? bring it on!" Gosling added.
