Extreme Drinks H2O No Gas water wins Best Packaging Innovation and is second in the Overall Best Concept at the Bottled Water World Awards at the Champs Elysee in Paris. H2O No Gas triumphed over 81 separate entries to win Best Packaging Innovation, and only missed out on first place in the overall concept category by a tiny margin. The newcomer H2O No Gas beat many more established rivals including water products from Cadburys Schweppes, Coca Cola, Nestle/Vittel, Highland Spring and Perrier. Its greatest accolade came from Bottled Water World Magazine itself which claimed that 'like many of the best ideas, it seems so obvious now it has been developed.' (Issue 22, Jan-Feb 2004.) After discovering that EX H2O No Gas had made it into the final three in both categories, the entire Extreme Drinks team decamped itself to Paris (any excuse, eh?) With much scrubbing (and forced exit from the usual flip flops and t-shirts) Extreme Drinks were ready to go party at the awards ceremony. The countdown to the results was nail-bitingly tense, with a deafening cheer meeting the announcement that Extreme H2O No Gas had won. Tim Day MD, Extreme Drinks accepted the award, making a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in its development and delivery. They refused to go the easy route and just drop the Extreme logo on a conventional bottle. Instead they created a water product that would actually be practical, whether you're snowboarding, skating, clubbing or simply on the move. More suited to dancing on tables, than dining at them, Extreme H2O No Gas ensured the post-awards party went with a bang.
