EX-PARKS – RIDE INTO TOWN

We are pleased to announce that our first EX-Skate Park is up and rolling.

We pinpointed that there was a lack of good quality skate parks in the UK and so the wheels were set in motion for our EX-Parks concept.

Our vision turned into reality sooner than anyone expected due to our recent acquisition of 22 Legends Surf Shops back in September. Attached to one of the shops located in the Xscape Castleford centre was a partially developed skatepark. With some redesign, recruitment of top staff and re branding of the outstanding facility to include the Extreme brand we are now pleased to announce that our doors have been open for business since the start of November and we have had over 4000 skaters and over 10000
spectators through the doors.

Ed Reeve the skatepark manager commented, "Customer response to the park is good, especially from the younger children and their parents. However, it is apparent that we are beginning to attract an older, better standard of skater, probably due to word getting round the skate community that the facility is actually a pleasant place to skate with friendly staff and a good atmosphere."

The team at EX Parks has front-line experience in sports and leisure facilities management: health clubs, leisure centers, swimming pools, skateparks, cable parks, and has even set up and operated time-limited trial venues.

EX Parks aims to redefine skateparks, pioneering the new generation of high quality indoor urban-based extreme sports theme parks across Europe. Each skate park is anchored around a huge indoor skatepark for skateboards, inline skating and BMX, with fashion retail, hardware sales and food and drinks all under one roof, with a good viewing area that allows spectators to participate in the experience.

Extreme Sports offer us the opportunity to perform and achieve without being held back by a team. Traditional team sports are about team spirit, cooperation, character building, and group competition. Extreme sports are rooted in an opposite set of values: individualism, self-achievement, defiance, thrill seeking and fun. Ex-Parks simply allow us a venue within which to express these values. While facilities for teams exist all over the UK we aim to bring customers the premier solution for all their Extreme Sports needs.

We are now planning to re brand the Legends shops using the Extreme Brand and with the great people already in place build the UK’s leading chain of Extreme Sports Shops.
